Start with the node you can actually allocate

A Timeless Jewel search becomes useful only after the Socket is fixed. The same Seed applies a deterministic transformation to the same passive node, but moving the Jewel changes which nodes fall inside its influence. “Find a Seed with double damage” is incomplete; “find double damage on allocated nodes around Socket 6230” is a decision a tool can score.

Path of Building follows the same principle. Its built-in finder lets players choose a Jewel Socket, restrict results to allocated nodes and assign weights to desired outcomes. TimelessCalc brings that workflow to the browser, then adds an exact result inspector, all-Socket analysis, local comparison and grouped Trade handoff.

How target matching works

Each target is a phrase matched against the resulting passive name and stat lines. Use the wording shown in calculated results. Short phrases such as double damage, maximum life or chaos resistance are normally more resilient than pasting an entire line with a rolled number.

• Weight expresses relative value. If double damage matters three times as much as strength, use weights 3 and 1.
• Minimum is a hard gate. A minimum of 2 removes Seeds that produce the target on fewer than two eligible nodes.
• Allocated nodes only ignores attractive results your current PoB tree does not take.
• Top results limits the returned shortlist, not the number of Seeds checked.

A practical Lethal Pride search

1. Select Lethal Pride, the required historical figure and the Socket used by the build.
2. Import the build code from PoB and enable allocated-only scoring.
3. Enter double damage with minimum 2. Add maximum life as a second, lower-weight target if it is useful rather than mandatory.
4. Run the search. All 8,001 valid Lethal Pride Seeds are checked, while only the strongest qualifying candidates are returned.
5. Inspect the first candidates. The exact node list matters more than a score on its own.
6. Save two or three credible candidates, compare their node Diff and open a grouped Trade query.

Why the figure still matters

For the established Timeless Jewel families, the Seed determines the ordinary passive transformations while the historical figure determines the Keystone replacement. Two jewels with the same Seed can therefore agree on nearby Notable outcomes and still produce different Keystone behavior. Trade searches must keep the chosen figure and Seed together.

Reading a ranked result without fooling yourself

The score is a ranking instrument, not a promise of damage or market value. Phrase matching counts eligible nodes. It does not simulate skill gems, enemy configuration, reservations, ailments or item interactions. A high-ranked candidate can also require passive points your current tree does not have unless allocated-only filtering is enabled.

Use the comparison panel to expose the exact difference between candidates. It recalculates each saved result and reports nodes added to the changed set, nodes removed from it, changed outcomes, unchanged outcomes and the resulting Keystone. The final purchase decision should still be checked in PoB.

Seed Finder FAQ

Does the Seed Finder check the complete Seed range?

Yes. It checks every valid Seed declared for the selected Jewel type, including Elegant Hubris steps and the current 3.29 Abyss Jewel ranges.

What does a target weight mean?

Weight controls the relative value of each matching node. A target with weight 3 contributes three times as much as a target with weight 1. Minimum controls how many matching nodes are required.

Can it search only nodes used by my build?

Yes. Import a PoB export and enable Allocated nodes only. Reclaimed Malevolence requires this build-specific mode because its affected route is not determined by Seed and Socket alone.

Does the result score equal DPS?

No. The score ranks the target phrases and weights you entered. Inspect the candidate and validate final build impact in Path of Building before buying.
