Path of Building Timeless Jewel Import

Import a PoB code, XML or pobb.in build into TimelessCalc to highlight allocated passives and score Timeless Jewel Seeds against the active tree.

Open Build decision tools and choose Import PoB build. Importing before a Seed search makes “good for this build” mean allocated nodes, not every passive that happens to sit inside the radius.

What the importer takes from a PoB build

A PoB export contains much more than a Jewel calculator needs. TimelessCalc parses the complete XML but activates a narrow set of build facts:

  • the active passive-tree Spec, rather than an inactive leveling or alternate tree;
  • allocated passive node IDs and mastery selections;
  • character class, Ascendancy and level;
  • socketed Timeless Jewel item text and Socket node IDs;
  • the passive-tree version recorded by the export.

Items, skills and configuration remain in the XML, but TimelessCalc does not pretend to reproduce PoB's full combat calculation. The imported tree is decision context for Seed matching, Socket ranking and path-sensitive Reclaimed Malevolence results.

Import from Path of Building

  1. Open the Import/Export Build screen in Path of Building.
  2. Copy the export code. A pobb.in link created from the same screen also works.
  3. Paste it into TimelessCalc and import.
  4. Confirm the displayed class, Ascendancy, node count and tree version.
  5. Enable Allocated nodes only in the Seed Finder.

If the imported tree version differs from the calculator's current 3.29 data, the build card shows the mismatch. Node IDs are usually stable across a small update, but a changed cluster can alter both allocation and Jewel radius. Update the PoB build before treating a high-value purchase as verified.

Why this improves Seed ranking

A raw radius can contain useful Notables, travel nodes the build never takes and nodes that would cost several extra points. Without the build tree, all three appear equally available. Allocated-only filtering removes the second and third groups from target scoring. The result list still exposes the complete Jewel outcome when you inspect a candidate, so collateral transformations are not hidden.

Reclaimed Malevolence needs the build

Reclaimed Malevolence is path-sensitive. Class, Ascendancy and the allocated route influence the nodes that can receive Zorath changes. For that Jewel, TimelessCalc requires an imported build and allocated-only mode during reverse search. This is an accuracy constraint, not an arbitrary feature lock: Seed and Socket alone are insufficient inputs.

Privacy and local persistence

Raw XML and export codes are not saved after parsing. The browser stores a compact context containing node IDs and build labels so a refresh does not discard an active comparison. Clear the build from the workbench or clear site data to remove it. The privacy page lists each browser storage use.

Which PoB formats can I import?

TimelessCalc accepts a Path of Building export code, raw PoB XML or a pobb.in URL.

What build information is used?

The importer reads the active passive-tree Spec, allocated node IDs, class, Ascendancy, level, mastery selections and socketed Timeless Jewel item text.

Is my PoB build uploaded?

Export codes and XML are decoded locally. A pobb.in URL is retrieved through a same-origin relay, then decoded in the browser. The parsed context is stored locally only if you keep the import active.

Does TimelessCalc replace PoB damage calculations?

No. TimelessCalc uses PoB tree context for Jewel search and comparison. Path of Building remains the place to validate complete DPS, EHP and configuration interactions.
